Fall Promises Brilliant Color   Artist Dana Schutz is one of the most important young artists to emerge in the last ten years. Combining fantasy and reality, humor and horror, the artist creates figurative paintings in a distinctive visual style characterized by vibrant color and raw and tactile brushwork, in which imaginary worlds and hypothetical situations are all at once absurd, strange, and impossible, yet oddly compelling.   Schutz is the recipient of the 2011 Roy R. Neuberger Exhibition Prize awarded every two years to an artist for an early career survey and monographic catalogue. Dana Schutz: If the Face Had Wheels September 25-December 18, 2011 Members See It First Opening Reception Saturday, September 24, 2011 6:30-8 pm / RSVP:  914-251-6125 Above:  Dana Schutz,  Guitar Girl , 2009 Oil and acrylic on canvas with black velvet, 60 1/4 x 48 inches Collection of Maria and Alberto de la Cruz

I wish I could visit: Les tressages de François Rouan LE CATEAU-CAMBRESIS
