meet the artist Liam Roberts
Liam Roberts’ fertile imagination transmutes images into abstract-like compositions of strik-
ing energy and brushwork. He says that he is not a maker of pictures, but a maker of paintings,
and that the viewer completes the work, not simply by looking but by the labour of seeing.
Shakespeare, as usual, says it best: “Let every eye negotiate for itself . . .”
Roberts’ mediums are acrylic, gouache, collage and ink. This show comprises recent and
earlier works. Liam has exhibited in New York, London, Paris, Palm Springs, Geneva and Nicosia.
