About Jeff Campion of YONKERS

Jeff Campion (Y.F.D.) of Yonkers died on Friday, January 17, 2014 at age 52. Born on September 10, 1961 to Frederick and Antonia (Walsh) Campion in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Yonkers High School. Jeff was a Yonkers fire fighter for over twenty two years stationed with Engine # 3 on Vark Street. He was a recipient of many awards and citations for bravery and heroism. Mr. Campion was a twenty year volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House in New York City. He also devoted his time and talents to the Wounded Warrior Project and his own "Army of One". His art work has been displayed and continues to be displayed throughout Westchester and N.Y.C. He also spent forty days as a 911 responder. He was awarded the 2012 Firefighter of the Year. Jeff is survived by his father, Frederick of Carmel, his two brothers, Fred of Mohegan Lake and Christopher and his two sisters Dawn and Kendal. He is also survived by three nieces and three nephews and his cousin Ken Campion. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday, January 23rd at 10:00 a.m.
