RESIDENCIES

The Visual Arts Office of the French Embassy coordinates and supports residency programs in the US and in France, which offer workspace, housing, stipend, professional introductions, and studio visits.

:: The Annual Triangle Studio Program ::

The program awards a year-long residency in New York City to an emerging French artist.

:: International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) ::

Under the ISCP, four six-month residencies are offered to French artists each year.

:: The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) ::

As an exchange program, the city of Paris in collaboration with LMCC, hosts two American artists to Paris for three months each.

:: The Villa Medicis Hors Les Murs ::

The program has no specific location and varies according to the artistic requirements of the artist.
For all these programs, applications must be submitted by the artists in France.
For information and deadlines, please contact the Visual Arts Office in New York City or CulturesFrance in Paris.

:: Couvent Des Recollets ::

The City of Paris and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs offer foreign artists a resident’s program at the Récollets International Accommodation and Exchange Centre, a prestigious building inaugurated in 2003, on the banks of Saint Martin Canal, in the heart of Paris, to foreign artists specialized in any discipline. The winners are hosted in one of the 6 studios, for a 3 months period.
