LinePosters sells modern, graphic interpretations of popular city transit systems. It is a collaboration between graphic designer, Cayla Ferari and engineer, John Breznicky. When the two set out to find transit inspired artwork for their first apartment together, the search came up empty. John suggested they convert a design Cayla had drawn of the NYC Subway system into a large scale wall decal for their living room. After receiving numerous compliments on their creation, the team decided to design their first product together: a black and white offset poster.
After spending the summer of 2011 selling throughout the streets NYC, it became clear that what started as a hobby, had turned into a successful business. With a growing inventory of additional city designs and products, LinePosters hopes to reach a wider audience while continuing to deliver well designed, high-quality items.

meet the artist Liam Roberts

Liam Roberts’ fertile imagination transmutes images into abstract-like compositions of strik- ing energy and brushwork. He says that he is not a maker of pictures, but a maker of paintings, and that the viewer completes the work, not simply by looking but by the labour of seeing. Shakespeare, as usual, says it best: “Let every eye negotiate for itself . . .” Roberts’ mediums are acrylic, gouache, collage and ink. This show comprises recent and earlier works.
