Richard Merryman has interviewed many luminaries including Marilyn Monroe two days before her death. He worked on this book for 30 years, which is amazing because Andrew Wyeth was so private!  Merryman portrays all the Wyeths and their interesting artistic talents.  You become acquainted with the interesting Wyeth family tree.  He begins with NC Wyeth who was a loving and controlling father who had an impact on all the four children. Je n’y fais pas ce que je veux mais plutôt ce que je peux. Lieu où les vides valent mieux que les pleins. Lieu où se dilue le temps, où il se cristallise en sculptures qui sont portes énigmatiques offrant une possibilité de passage d’un espace à l’autre quand tout va bien, ou quand tout va mal, se ferment sur un cul-de-sac entêtant. L’atelier est un chaos où j’essaie de fabriquer de l’ordre dans les décombres créés en cherchant la sortie aussi proche qu’improbable, et que je redoute. L’addition de mes essais d’envol est une soustraction de place. Où je me bats avec le temps sur lequel je gagne, puisqu’il me rapproche chaque jour davantage de ma libération. Que j’y fasse quelque chose ou rien, d’ailleurs. C’est donc le lieu de refuge, où l’assiégé barricadé, embusqué, résis...

J'ai rencontré la dinanderie presque par "hasard" en cherchant une formation, avec le désir de travailler de "mes mains". Dominique FOlliot la dinanderie?....mais KESACO? Ma préférence allant vers le métal, c'est en dinanderie que j'ai trouvé un stage d'un an à Périgny sur Yerres. La dinanderie est une technique qui permet à partir d'une feuille de métal de créer des formes à l'aide de maillets, de marteaux et divers outils en acier. Les nombreuses cuissons du métal nécessitent un chalumeau.  Un long travail est effectué sur la pièce jusqu'à la patine finale obtenue par mélange de plusieurs produits. Certaines de mes œuvres sont réalisées sans soudure à partir d'une seule feuille en jouant simplement sur la courbe pour obtenir la forme. D'autres sont des assemblages de plusieurs éléments, des alliances de métaux et matériaux : Laiton, cuivre, étain, ébène, pâte de verre ou quelques touches d'émail. Une partie de mon tr...

Titled Tug of War, this new image represents the age-o ld battle between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots', summed up in a tug of war over a dropped £10 note. To compliment this theme you can view the image at the show as a very limited, 120x180cm aluminium-mounted, glossy 'elite' print. Conversely, theres also the 'people's' version, printed in a tabloid newspaper format using traditional newspaper stock and ink with all the imperfections and idiosyncrasies you'd expect from newsprint. If you haven't got the funds and the palatial space for the elite version, the newsprint version is available for only £10 (of course!) and is an unlimited, unsigned edition for sale to anyone at the show, until it closes. ...
