Installation by Cuban artist Esterio Segura on Times Square New York, 21 March 2013, Art Media Agency (AMA). The installation, titled  Goodbye My Love , will be on display from 18 March to 13 May 2013. This event is intended to give Times Square’s visitors the opportunity to view major contemporary artworks, with a broad variety of mediums. The installation  Goodbye My Love  will be visible on Anita’s Way, which links West 42 nd  Street to West 43 rd  Street, between 6 th  Avenue and Broadway. Esterio Segura is a pioneer of Cuban contemporary art. His installation refers to love in contemporary relationships, where partners often have to live at a distance. The work is therefore twofold, on the one hand the spectator feels joy, and on the other a kind of bittersweet emotion, linked to his affective experience. Installed at the southeast entrance to Central Park, Thomas Schütte’s monumental bronze, United Enemies , is already attracting curious looks from tourists, school children and residents. The work takes on one of the most traditional forms of public art—the bronze figure— reframing it both physically and metaphorically. Its two separate pairs of male figures are literally bound together as they simultaneously push apart. Standing on tripods of bundled poles instead of a pedestal or even  legs, the paired forms are highly abstracted—their heads emerge from swaddling robes, encircled by knotted ropes that conceal their limbs as their aged faces express anguished emotions. " The world’s most expensive artist will show works in one of the world’s most lavish exhibition spaces next year, Agence France-Press reports. In his first major French museum show, Jeff Koons will exhibit 12 to 15 of his large-scale works at the Palace of Versailles, Marie Antoinette’s legendary former palace outside Paris. Works on display might include those owned by the French billionaire Francois Pinault, who heads his own contemporary art museum, the Palazzo Grassi, in Venice. The Palazzo Grassi and Versailles are connected in that Versailles president Jean-Jacques Aillagon is the former manager of Pinault’s museum. The exhibition is slated for September 26 through December 14, 2008, and the show is an extension of the palace’s "Versailles Off" program that puts temporary contemporary art exhibitions on the Versailles grounds. ...
