La Promenade des Artistes - Art and Community work for a good cause! This year the 9th annual "Promenade des Artistes" organized by the French organizations “Westchester Accueil” and Accueil” New York will take place on May 1st and 2nd, in Orienta, Mamaroneck. The Promenade is a wonderful opportunity for the French community to share its culture and work with the American public. This year’s Promenade will feature the work of artists from the New York area. This self-guided tour within the lovely district of Orienta showcases the original work of more than 40 talented amateurs and professional artists and craftsmen. Their work range from paintings, photographs, sculptures to jewelry, quilt, accessories and more. The exhibitions take place in private homes all within easy walking distance of each other. A map of the route is available at your first stop, the “Reception house” located on 1027 S. Constable Drive, in Mamaroneck. Visitors join the Promenade just to browse or to be...

The weather could have been a bit warmer but at least : it didn't rain .... As soon as we know how much we raised for the 2 associations, it will be announced here,....... ".... si jamais tu mets un texte à l'appui de mes photos et si tu fais référence au magazine du westchester, je tiens à préciser qu'il s'est glissé une petite erreur dans mon profil. Je ne travaille plus au Clay art Center, mais Au Art Life Studio de Port Chester sous la Direction de Ron. C'est un atelier qui permet le travail de la terre, du bois et de la pierre. Bref, tout ce que j'aime.Isa NdlR:(Pour info) Il se trouve que Marie WYATT, a l'origine de l'organisation de la premiere promenade des Artistes et qui depuis a demenage a Bruxelles , a egalement travaille dans cet atelier. Myra Lehman, egalement sculptrice exposant a la premiere promenade chez Marie y travaille toujours. Myra a recu de nombreux awards, notamment au Rye Arts Center juge par Thom Collins, directeur du Neuberger Museum of Art...Que le monde est petit! Curieuse, Curieux de connaitre .....qui expose a la promenade des artistes et de mettre un nom sur toutes ces petites photos qui composent notre carton d'annonce? J'ai la reponse officielle......\........demain....j'enleve le voile sur les photos de 2 colonnes du haut...

de FABRICE PUISSANT Voici des photos de présentoirs lumineux. Depuis quelques années, je travaille a l'intégration d'éléments lumineux a base de LED insérés dans des supports en bois. La technique des LED par sa très faible température permet pour la première fois de s'affranchir des dispositifs de refroidissement ou d'isolation. J'ai dernièrement mis au point des chevalets de table utilisant cette technique. Composé d''un cube en bois précieux renfermant une LED et sa pile bouton et d'un porte nom en plexiglass qui lorsqu'il est eclairé émet une lueur bleue très fine qui luit sur le contour de la plaque. La plaque de plexiglass peut soit recevoir un bout de film imprimable transparent ou être directement calligraphiée avec un feutre doré par exemple. a suivre

This is always a big part of suspense in this event. How many houses? Which houses? Am I going to be with my friends? Will I have enough space /light?..In most cases, it goes very smoothly and the real challenge is organizing a nice lunch so we all can share it.. Because in the end.................What really matters? Showing and Selling , yes of course and certainly for the 2 charities which will receive 15% of it.. but also and "surtout" FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN because life is short and friends are important.......... As we are entering the last week before Friday when starts "The promenade des Artistes", I will give you details on who is where as you might want to first go and see someone you have seen the last past years.....
