If I was living in Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen or Zurich..i would be following....CREME GUIDES

CHECK OUT http://www.cremeguides.com/en/about-creme-guides-2/ The city guide  creme guides  is a digital showroom for our very own favorites in Europe’s metropolises like Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen or Zurich. A selection of extraordinary places, beautiful things and mentionable locals. The contents are strictly selected and show only what we find to be noteworthy and recommendable. Consider this a platform for praising the good things much rather than a forum for critical reviews. If we don’t approve of something, it doesn’t even reach these pages.

tips for tourists and ...."36 Hours in Upper Manhattan" recent article in NYTIMES

let's be a tourist in NYC do not mis restaurant week.. Twice a year, in January/February and June/July, there is a unique  opportunity to experience some of New York City's finest restaurants  for a fraction of the usual price. Throughout the city, restaurants participate  in "Restaurant Week" where they offer a three-course lunch for $25  (& some even offer dinner for $38).  Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to try out a restaurant that may  usually be out of your budget, or test some new restaurants with a little  less financial risk. Check out my  tips for enjoying Restaurant Week . http://gonyc.about.com/cs/restaurants/a/restaurantweek.htm read NYTimes travel section http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/23/travel/36-hours-in-upper-manhattan.html?_r=0

published in 2010 but quite still accurate ..PARIS INSOLITE

ON the Rue de Rivoli, one building stands out amid the busy boutiques and department stores. Inside a colorful interior, the place buzzes with shoppers and tourists — and young people covered in paint. Paris Travel Guide Go to the Paris Travel Guide » Art Interest Guide Go to the Art Interest Guide » Multimedia Map Paris, France This is  59 Rivoli , the latest of  Paris ’s legalized  art  squats. Previously owned by the Crédit Lyonnais bank and then abandoned, the six-story, mid-19th-century Haussmann era building (59, rue de Rivoli, First Arrondissement; no phone;  59rivoli.org ) was taken over by a group of young rebellious artists in 1999. Despite or possibly because of its illegal status, tourists soon came flowing in to see their work. In 2006, as part of a citywide effort to legitimize popular but technically illegal art venues, the space was bought, closed and renovated by the Paris city hall for 10 million e...

I wish I could visit: Les tressages de François Rouan LE CATEAU-CAMBRESIS
