The image is in excellent condition and in an unusually large size. This image was originally published as 1 of 24 illustrations in the book titled “The Flute of the Gods” by Marah Ellis Ryan with photo illustrations by Edward S. Curtis. Three of the 24 pictures, including “Prayer to the Stars,” became so popular that Curtis started to offer them as photographs and gold tones by special request out of his Seattle Curtis studio.
